One two-month journey circling the Land Down Under was terminated in the wake of the death of an older lady who was abandoned by the ship on a isolated coastal location.

The elderly woman had been walking on the remote island with fellow passengers from the vessel, but parted ways from the party for a pause. The liner departed without her and came back after some time after the crew discovered the passenger was unaccounted for.

A major rescue mission discovered her person the next day.

Authorities are looking into the event, together with law enforcement and the official investigator.

Head of the shipping company announced that passengers and crew on the vessel were notified that the continuation of the voyage had been terminated due to the "tragic passing and earlier mechanical issues".
